I noticed the same situation for Lightroom, and it seems that even non-brush image adjustments skip significantly faster after the upgrade than they did with Lightroom 4 and prior versions.
I have noted some performance issues as well. I noticed the Layers panel becoming slower when opening and saving a file, and, while the buttons for importing/exporting images worked well, I have run into issues where save files don’t apply edits properly. None of these issues is major, but they are factors I observe. I suspect limited operating system resources ultimately are to blame. I would expect Adobe to address these performance issues as it continues to evolve Lightroom, but for now, I am less than enthusiastic about moving from cloud-based to desktop-based versions of applications such as Lightroom or Photoshop. Nevertheless, I think the iPad Pro is the best mobile Photoshop solution out there currently, and I am happy to be experimenting with it.

Does Adobe Photoshop support all the modern file formats? After a great deal of consideration and many internal debates, we’ve decided that our Photoshop course will use a mixture of PSD and TIFF files.
