I then cleaned it up with some basic edits and done another filing on the image for added clarity.

The sunset at Kefalonia is captured using an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III. After I processed the first shot, I shot 10 more with varying subject distances to capture a wider range of depth of field. In the main shot, by placing the camera at a few metres and using a wide-angle lens, I created the widest depth of field. I also used the 3D grid on the screen to help frame the image. For more refinement, I used Photoshop to straighten and crop the image. For the next 7 frames, I allowed the camera to zoom into the sunset while I continued to adjust the image and apply the filters.

Shooting with a Sony A6300, my wife Marien said “What are you doing?! You will get us in your pictures!” So I obliged. She is a credit to me. I shot this on my phone’s camera and processed it on the computer. My image overlapped two people, one of which was Marien. Resized down and dropped into thirds. Adding some light-leak filter to the lower right hand corner. Added a warm filter and added light to the sky. Skewed towards green and boosted the saturation. Blurred out the background and added some depth of field.
